The legend’s ruthless comments ended up going viral on social media, and Cher tried to provide some clarity in a very long Twitter thread. Now, 7 years later, Cyrus is letting the world know what she thinks when iconic and legendary artists like Cher speak of her in unflattering ways.

Cyrus is currently promoting his album Plastic hearts and sit with SiriusXM Christma Live Streams with the legendary Billy Idol December 17th. According to E! Cyrus continued, “I’m like, ‘Oh, Dear doesn’t care what I’m doing! When these legends and icons and artists that we admire … f ** king hate us, it’s always a compliment … She was crazy that I stick my tongue out at her all the time and all that shit. And I’m like, ‘Yo, I pissed off Cher, I really did it!’

As a reminder, after Cyrus’ performance, Cher took nothing of his opinions. Talk to USA today, Cher called the performance “so bad”. “She could have gone out naked, and if she had just rocked the house, I would have said, ‘Go on, girl.’ It just wasn’t done well. She can’t dance, her body looked like hell, the song wasn’t great, one cheek was hanging down. And, girl, don’t stick your tongue out if it’s coated. Cher said in the seven-year-old interview.

Cher also said E! New “I don’t care if she comes out naked… Just be better, do better….
