Here are the 2021 Intelligencer / Courier Times Girls Basketball All-Stars:
Ryanne Allen, Archbishop Wood, Sr., Guard / Forward: A second All-State selection in sophomore and twice all-PCL first-team, the junior guard averages 16.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and one steal per game for a Viking team who won the first Philadelphia Catholic League program. title since 2016 and also won the PIAA 4A title. High-level Division I recruiting, she has 25 scholarship offers on the table.
Kaitlyn Orihel, Archbishop Wood, Sr., Guard: The senior guard is a four-time first-team All-PCL selection and has been the 2020 PIAA 5A Sports Writers’ Player of the Year. Villanova’s engagement averages 15.8 points, 4 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.1 assists while leading the Vikings to both a Philadelphia Catholic League crown and the PIAA 4A title.
Kaliyah Myricks, George School, Sr., Center: The 6-2 center can control the game from both ends of the pitch, as evidenced by his program-record 24-point, 27-rebound performance in George School’s 60-52 win over Perkiomen School during ‘a shortened season. As a junior, she averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Committed to pursuing her basketball career at Georgetown University.
Ava Sciolla, Pennsbury, Jr., guard: A two-time All-SOL first-team selection, Sciolla won the All-State Third Team in second year. The junior captain, who also kept the opposing team’s best player, averaged 17 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.4 steals for the SOL Patriot division champions. Engaged to play at National University of Maryland.
Trinity Williams, Palisades, Sr., Forward: Named Colonial League Player of the Year, the senior captain was Lehigh Valley’s top scorer, averaging 21 points to go with 12 rebounds and four blocks. Scored a school record of 41 points in the season opener and 33 points in a district playoff game. Committed to pursuing his basketball career at NJIT.
