As Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam nears its release date, speculation surrounding Henry Cavill’s Superman cameo is surging every day. Rumors are already swirling that the DC superhero will return even though the Man of Steel actor says he’s done with him.

Previously, the claims came from a Hollywood insider who said the actor is indeed back, although no movie name was mentioned. When The Rock called Cavill “our generation’s Superman” and repeatedly teased that he was making a comeback.

However, no confirmation has ever been made about this. Some people have even pointed out that bringing Superman back might be a mistake, and a few reports have suggested Warner Bros. won’t be going in that direction either. But, it seems the number of DC fans wanting Henry Cavill back and thinking he’ll be in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam outnumbers them.

Henry Cavill is currently trending on Twitter after another insider, who has previously leaked information about Marvel movies, confirmed that Superman is back. The insider even claimed Cacill said, “We need to talk about Black Adam.” As fans rejoice, many have pointed out how much they wish the character was in black costume and his original score in Dwayne Johnson’s film.

A few even pointed out how the Enola Holmes actor’s name was part of the movie’s cast list. Meanwhile, just recently, the DC movie box office predictions have arrived. Depending on that, the film could become The Rock’s biggest domestic (North American) debut.

Whether or not Henry Cavill’s Superman is in Black Adam won’t be answered until the movie comes out. The Dwayne Johnson star hits theaters on October 21.
