Hennessey Venom F5 gets a limited-edition watch that costs $200,000

Hennessey Performance and Skeleton Concept have teamed up to design a watch. The Hennessey Venom F5 Concept Chronograph is a new limited edition watch that is linked to an individual Venom F5 model through the bracelet and the inscription.

The sapphire case goes through an extensive creation process, starting with heated aluminum oxide until it melts. It is then cooled into a crystalline block which is inspected before being machined 24 hours a day for over 30 days into the final part. Another close inspection and polish completes it.

The chronograph has other car touches, with a carbon fiber bezel etched with a high-contrast tachymeter scale that can measure average speeds of up to 248 miles per hour (400 kilometers per hour). Each watch is linked to an individual Venom F5 with a chassis number inscription surrounded by “The American Dream Never Sleeps” engraving. Skeleton Concept further ties its watch to the specific Hennessey by matching the color of the strap to the exterior color of the car.

The super-exclusive Hennessey Venom F5 debuted in late 2020, with the company only building 24 examples. Its limited run has certainly added to its rarity, but the Hennessey has the power to back up its seven-figure price. The car features a bespoke 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 1,817 horsepower (1,345 kilowatts) and 1,193 pound-feet (1,617 Newton-meters) of torque, which is capable of sending the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than three seconds. It would go from 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) in 4.7 seconds.

“The car pushes the boundaries of what is possible through state-of-the-art engineering, a parallel we have brought to the watch that inherits engineering with its unique and beautiful sapphire case,” said Hennessey’s chief operating officer. , Alex Roys.

The watch, like the car, isn’t cheap, costing $200,000. However, it’s a bargain compared to the $3 million Venom F5 Roadster launched by Hennessey earlier this year, which saw a considerable price increase over the $2.1 million coupe. It contains the same high-powered V8 engine, weighing less than 3,100 pounds (1,406 kilograms). The coupe weighs 2,998 pounds (1,360 kg).
