FIRST LOOK: Harry Redknapp trades football pitch for Albert Square ahead of EastEnders cameo at European Championships
The first images of Harry Redknapp on the set of EastEnders were released before he appeared in scenes with Danny Dyer.
The 74-year-old former footballer confirmed last week that he will play a role in future episodes of the soap opera, and official photos of him on set were released on Tuesday.
In the photos, Harry poses next to the sign for the show’s famous Albert Square and is also holding his hands in his pockets in front of the Queen Vic pub.

He joined the soap opera as a friend of the owner of Danny Dyer’s character, Queen Vic, Mick Carter and it has been claimed that the couple are already ‘inseparable’.
Harry was seen en route to the BBC’s Elstree studios last week to begin filming – the scenes being broadcast during Euros, which air from June to July 2021.
“ It’s no secret that I wanted to be at EastEnders so I’m excited to make a special appearance this summer, ” Harry said. “ With a nod to the euros it’s a nice combination and as a true East Londoner it’s been so much fun.
He added that Sandra, his wife for over 50 years, is a “big fan” of soap, “so it’s a real special moment for the whole family”.

Harry told The Sun: ‘I’ve always wanted to have a drink at the Queen Vic. It was great working with Danny Dyer.
It has been claimed that Harry was ‘cheered’ by the crew as he arrived on set for the first time as he laughed and joked with Danny.
The pair are both originally from east London and are said to be linked by their love for the West Ham football club that Harry played for in the 60s and managed in the 90s.

A source said the duo are now “ inseparable ” after spending long days touring together.
The source added: ‘Harry is not a bad actor, especially for EastEnders. He brought a real Cockney feel.
“ It looks like this might not be the last time viewers see it. He and Danny made a great team.
“ They were both clearly excited to be working together. Everyone loved having Harry around.

Last month, a source speaking to the Mirror claimed BBC bosses were keen to cast Harry out after being impressed with his charm, saying: ‘Harry will be a great addition to EastEnders.
“ Even though he has no experience as a traditional actor, his character and charm is more than enough to hold him well on the show.
And with him growing up in the real East End, that makes him even better. Everything has been pretty much agreed and it is now in great detail.
In January, Harry shared his desire to appear on the soap opera, telling The Sun Sunday: ‘My ambition for 2021 is to be a part of EastEnders because I am a true Eastender.
“I grew up in Poplar, so I have a real affinity with the region. I have already worked on my character.
