Manchester United were frustrated with Crystal Palace as they drew 0-0 in a lackluster game at Selhurst Park on Wednesday.
It was the third game in a row that the Red Devils failed to score or concede, but it was a lackluster performance from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer started Dean Henderson in goal with first-choice David De Gea not part of the Selhurst Park squad.
Eric Bailly, Nemanja Matic and Edinson Cavani were also included from the start while Victor Lindelof, Scott McTominay and Daniel James had to settle for a place on the bench after the 0-0 draw at Chelsea while Anthony Martial n was not in the team.
After a good start from the hosts, it was Solskjaer’s men who dominated, but Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood failed to make the most of the good opportunities to ensure he was aimless at the break.
Vicente Guita was forced to a good save by Nemanja Matic but the first half ended scoreless.
The second half continued in a similar vein, with neither side able to create many clear opportunities.
As United struggled to break Palace in the second half, they were significantly more frustrated with captain Harry Maguire yelling at Marcus Rashford to ‘stay f ****** next’.
Mason Greenwood had an effort from outside the box whistle past the top corner with ten minutes left, but Guita was rarely troubled.
This is now the third game in a row that the Red Devils have drawn 0-0 after their draws against Real Sociedad and Chelsea.
That leaves them 14 points behind leaders Manchester City ahead of Sunday’s derby at the Etihad, with Solskjaer’s men now scoreless in 285 minutes.
