Butker calls Pride Month a ‘deadly sin’

During the May 11 ceremony, Butcher took the opportunity to express his views on various controversial topics, sparking backlash on social media platforms.

Butcher began his speech by saying “It’s safe to say that over the years I’ve gained a reputation for being able to speak my mind.”

Butcher went on to claim that women were subjected to “diabolical lies” which implies that their main aspirations revolve around family life rather than professional success.

“I think it was you women who told you the most diabolical lies,” he said.

“Some of you may go on to successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are very excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into the world.”

“I can tell you that my beautiful wife, Isabelle, would be the first to say that her life truly began when she began to live her vocation as a wife and mother. I am on this stage and I am able to to be the man that I am, because I have a wife who relies on her vocation,” Butcher said.

He continued by saying, “I am beyond blessed by the many talents God has given me, but it cannot be understated that all of my success is made possible because a girl I met in middle school music class would convert at once, would become my wife, and adopt one of the most important titles of all: that of housewife.

I don’t stop there, Butcher also addressed male graduates, urging them to embrace their masculinity and combat what he perceives as a cultural emasculation of men.

He emphasized the importance of men in shaping societal norms and lamented their supposed absence in the domestic setting.

“As men, we set the tone of culture, and when that is absent, disorder, dysfunction and chaos take hold,” he said.
