Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, the musical couple who got to know each other as judges of “The Voice” reality singing contest, officially tied the knot on July 3.
Stefani ended the feverish marriage speculation with an Instagram post from July 5 wearing a gown and turning up a wedding veil topped with a white bow. “July 3, 2021,” Stefani wrote in the caption with a heart-shaped emoji, tagging Shelton.
“The Today Show” reported that the ceremony took place at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch, in a chapel Shelton built for Stefani on the property. There were 40 guests at the intimate wedding, with “Today” and “Voice” host Carson Daly serving as the celebrant.
Stefani posted a gallery of wedding photos, including one revealing her Vera Wang gown as she posed with Shelton under bright skies with the hashtag #married.
“Dreams come true,” Stefani captioned the story.
The gallery post featured a photo of the happy couple leaving in a festive golf cart as Stefani appeared to toss her bouquet of flowers. Another photo showed the two kissing in front of a tiered wedding cake.
Stefani wore a bespoke lily white dress with a plunging neckline and cutout back, according to a statement from designer Vera Wang. The dress featured the hand-embroidered names of “Gwen” and “Blake” as well as the names of Stefani’s children – Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 7. The names were flanked by two white roses at the hem.
For the reception, Stefani wore a lily white Vera Wang Italian silk-crepe strapless mini dress. The embroidery of the dress was underlined by a pair of hand-sewn lovebirds symbolizing the couple. The birds were joined by three chicks representing Stefani’s children.

Stefani, 51, hinted at the wedding on Instagram on Friday with a photo of her having a glass of wine and holding a gift with the caption “SHE IS MARRIED”
The couple connected on the set of “The Voice” in 2015, when the two were coaches on the longtime NBC talent show. The couple formed a quick friendship and bonded over their complex and high-profile divorces. The following year, Shelton told Tennessean, which is part of the USA TODAY Network, that the relationship “literally saved my life.” He explained that he and Stefani initially struggled with trust issues, but they turned them into inspiration for their first duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart”.

“In people’s defense, I think it’s so hard for people to understand why Gwen would want to be with me,” he said. “I don’t blame them.”

“It’s a scary time for me, because it’s one thing for me to be with the kids all the time and be their buddies,” Shelton said. “But after a while you have to consider that they start to listen to what you are saying, and that comes with a lot of responsibility, which is new to me.”
