Google’s Android 15 Beta 1.1 fixes NFC issues and developer options crashes: Details | Mint – Mint

Google has introduced the Android 15 Beta 1.1 update, a later version following the recent milestone unveiled just a fortnight ago. This update is designed to resolve various reported bugs and refine the user experience in preparation for the official launch of Android 15.

Dubbed version AP31.240322.023, the update comes with the April 2024 security patch. According to 9to5google, the update is compatible with a variety of devices including the Pixel 6 series, Pixel 7, Pixel 8, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold and others. Users can install the update either using the factory image or via an over-the-air (OTA) update directly to their devices.

According to the report, the main objective of this update is to fix issues related to NFC (Near Field Communication). Several users have experienced issues with NFC affecting wallet apps and other system functions dependent on NFC. Google responded by fixing several issues with NFC, ensuring smoother operation for users who rely on this feature.

Additionally, the update fixes an occasional crash in the Developer Options settings screen. Google also fixed an issue preventing some devices from properly updating to Beta 1. These improvements aim to strengthen the stability and performance of the operating system, providing a smoother user experience.

Another notable fix in the update is fixing an issue with text clipping when printing. This fix ensures that text is displayed correctly when users attempt to print documents from their devices, improving overall usability.

Additionally, devices participating in the Android Beta for Pixel program will automatically receive the OTA update to Beta 1.1. Google also offers factory images for manual installation for those who prefer it. Whichever method you choose, the update process is simplified, ensuring that users can access the latest bug fixes and security improvements.
