Google Pixel 8 vs Samsung Galaxy S24 – Which is better? – High-end lifestyle magazine

If you’re looking for a new Android device in the market, you may be considering the Galaxy S24 or the Google Pixel 8. It may prove to be a difficult choice, but not if you take the time to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each phone. .

Screen size and display

The S24 has a screen size of 6.2 inches and a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It has a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The Pixel 8 has a 6.2-inch display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The maximum brightness is 2000 nits. In terms of overall display specs, the Samsung is brighter, with a slightly lower resolution. If you are a player who enjoys playing online slots and games with fun animations, it can be easy to see the difference between the two, especially when put side by side. Those who play Temple Tumble Megaways, or even Tiki Treasures Megaways will find that with a brighter screen, colors pop more and animations are brighter and more vibrant. Even though Samsung offers a lower resolution, unless you’re playing demanding PVP games, the difference is negligible and likely won’t impact your overall gaming experience.

Design and performance

Both devices are rectangular in shape. The main difference is that Galaxy models have flat sides and Pixel models have curved edges. All models in each range are equipped with a front camera with a high-tech fingerprint sensor. The rear design, however, is very different. Samsung places its camera on the back, with circular protrusions to accommodate the lens. Google is opting for a raised camera bar that runs the length of the phone. It blends perfectly into the sides. Dimensions-wise, the Galaxy S24 is smaller and lighter than the Google Pixel 8. The Galaxy having a titanium frame, armored corner glass and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back, it provides ample protection for those who regularly drop their phone. Google also uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2 but with an aluminum frame. Both brands have an IP68 rating, so they are dust and waterproof.

In terms of performance, the S24 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This beats the Pixels’ Tensor G3 in most tests. Even though the S24 has more processing power than the Pixel 8, Google stands by its statement that the Tensor chip is not suitable for most benchmark tests. They say that instead, the device fares better with more AI-based features. When it comes to everyday tasks, both phones offer a smooth experience when browsing social media, but overall, the Samsung S24 comes out on top in terms of gaming.

Overall, the Google Pixel 8 and Samsung S24 are solid phones that can handle almost any task. That being said, the Samsung S24 stands out in terms of brightness thanks to increased nits and faster processing power in benchmark tests.
