The partnership between Google and Samsung goes beyond Android. While Google’s Pixel devices use Tensor chips made by Samsung, Samsung’s Galaxy flagship smartphones have AI features, like Circle to Search, even before the Pixel 8 series gets them. Both companies announced upcoming AI features.

Rick Osterloh, senior vice president of platforms and devices at Google, said the “partnership between the companies has never been stronger.”

“Had a great conversation with the leaders of TM and @SamsungMobile. Our partnership has never been stronger. I’m excited about our collaboration on AI and the many opportunities ahead for both companies,” said Rick Osterloh, senior vice president of platforms and devices at Google, in an article on X.

In the post, he shared a selfie with TM Roh, President and Head of MX Business, Samsung Electronics.

Meanwhile, Samsung reposted Osterloh’s post and said the companies were working on AI features for Android and Galaxy devices.

“Our collaboration with Google continues as we work toward a shared vision of providing the best ecosystem of Android products and services. Exciting things are coming for the future of AI-driven Android and Galaxy experiences,” Samsung posted on X.
