Good Morning Britain changes presenter as ITV News’ Paul Brand replaces Richard Madeley on debut with Kate Garraway
Good Morning Britain fans woke up to a new face on the program on Thursday as Kate Garraway’s presenting partner was changed.
The TV star, 55, hosted the news show alongside Richard Madeley over the summer months and looked amazing wearing a £65 dress from Dancing Leopard.
But Richard was nowhere to be found and was replaced by former ITV political correspondent Paul Brand.

At the start of Thursday’s show, Kate told her new co-host “Thank goodness you’re here!” as they discussed the rail strikes currently taking place across the country.
Train companies cut services by a fifth today as thousands of members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT), Transport Salaried Staffs Association (TSSA) and Unite union hit picket lines across the country in a bitter dispute over pay and working conditions.
Kate then added: “Everyone really appreciates that Paul Brand is here. They say you’re a breath of fresh air and you’re brilliant – but I’ll share those comments with you later.

Paul worked as a political correspondent at ITV News from 2016 to 2020 and became UK editor earlier this year.
He has recently been involved in breaking many partygate scoops, but has now made his GMB debut.
Paul welcomed baby Tomos George last year and broke the news on Instagram by sharing a snap cradling the baby, sitting next to beaming husband Joe Cuddeford.
The couple – who married in 2017 – had their child through surrogacy, with Paul sharing an image with their surrogate just days before.

Journalist: Paul has been ITV’s UK editor since January. Previously, he was a political correspondent for ITV News, a post he had held since 2016.
The journalist wrote: “Welcome to the world, Tomos George Cuddeford-Brand. Born June 10 at 9 lbs 5 oz. We have never known such love before. You are the most priceless gift.
Several ITV stars commented on Paul’s announcement, with Loose Women presenter Charlene White writing: ‘Congrats to you both and welcome to the world Tomas! xx’
Ranvir Singh wrote, “How wonderful, what a beautiful threesome you make!” Congratulations Paul!’
