Gina Riley’s actress daughter Maggie McKenna says she was “ embarrassed ” about growing up and seeing her mom wear g-string over Kath and Kim
Maggie McKenna is part of Australian comedy royalty.
The 22-year-old mother is Kath and Kim’s star, Gina Riley, and Maggie herself is an actress and performer.

Asked by the Daily Telegraph if it was embarrassing to see her mother walking around in a thong, she replied: “ I would be lying if I said no.
“But I think what she does is so hilarious. Of course, everything a mom does, whether she’s a performer or not, is embarrassing. ”
She added, “But I still have tremendous respect for what she did and how she changed the game of women in the industry.”

Asked by the Daily Telegraph if it was embarrassing to see her mother walking around in thongs, Maggie said: “ I would be lying if I said no. But I think what she does is so hilarious. Of course, everything a mom does, whether or not she is an interpreter, is embarrassing. ”
Maggie added that she had excellent role models in the entertainment industry and often sought the advice of her mother and famous friends for her own performances.
“It was really cool to watch the women take charge and be able to call the shots in a way that then shocked me when it wasn’t like that,” she said.
