PARIS, May 27 (Reuters) – You’d think the ongoing French Open would be the biggest show in town for Diego Schwartzman, but the Argentine is desperate to be elsewhere in Paris on Saturday night.
Schwartzman, a former top-10 player, has already reached the fourth round of the Grand Slam on clay and his eyes have turned to the Stade de France in northern Paris which will host the Champions League final on Saturday.
Schwartzman implored tennis organizers on Friday to find him a ticket to the showdown between Liverpool in England and Real Madrid in Spain.

Asked during his press conference on Friday if he wanted to go to the game, the 29-year-old said with a big smile on his face: “A chance to ask who has tickets for me.
“So Roland Garros, please ask for tickets for tomorrow. I know you can do it. President of Roland Garros, President of the Federation. I can go alone, huh? It’s okay.”
Schwartzman, who will face Novak Djokovic in the next round of French Open if the world number one manages to win his third-round match later on Friday, said he loves football and enjoys watching the big games.
“The last few days I was only following my team, Boca Juniors. We won the Argentine league. We won yesterday. So we passed the Copa Libertadores,” he continued.
“So now it’s time for the Champions League. But it’s going to be a great game. Not everyone here is from Liverpool or Real Madrid. We’re going to enjoy it.
“Again, if you have tickets, I’ll be there tomorrow.”
