George Stephanopoulos has the release of a long-awaited project to celebrate, and a whole host of famous friends to do it with!

This weekend, the Good Morning America host and his wife Ali Wentworth were in Los Angeles to celebrate the upcoming release of his new book, The Situation Room: The Inside Story of Presidents in Crisisthrough which it explores the history of the famous White House Situation Room and provides insight into the various crises that different US presidents have managed from the elusive command center.

The fascinating book will officially be available to the public on May 14, but stars like Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, among others, got a fun sneak peek.

Over the weekend, Ali took to Instagram and shared a series of star-studded photos of her and George’s book celebration in Los Angeles.

She first shared a group photo featuring Abrams and his wife Katie McGrath – their daughter, singer Gracie Abramswas also present – ​​followed by another group photo featuring Jennifer, her good friend and Jimmy Kimmel’s wife Molly McNearney, Sean HayesAnd Amanda Anka, Jason Bateman’s woman (and That of Paul Anka girl.)

Ali also shared a cute photo with Jennifer and Courteney, as well as another fun photo where she and the The morning show the actress reflects on the book.

His book will cover not only moments from Clinton’s tenure (presumably), but also other pivotal moments in U.S. history before and after, ranging from the assassination of John F. Kennedy to the assassination attempt of Ronald Reagantranscripts from the aftermath of 9/11, the moments leading up to the raid that killed Osama bin Laden during the Obama administration, and even an account from Situation Room staff during the Jan. 6 insurrection at the capital.

“Along with the Oval Office, no place better illustrates the power and mystery of the presidency than the Situation Room of the White House,” George said in a press release last year, adding: “The decisions made in this windowless warren in the basement of the West Wing has determined the fate of presidents and shaped the course of history Yet relatively little has been written about it and the people who work there.
