Gary Neville wasn’t too impressed with the sprinklers at the Etihad as he got drenched during the Pep Guardiola interview.
The former Manchester United right-back was alongside ex-teammate Roy Keane and former Manchester City defender Micah Richards who were preparing for the Manchester derby.
But as they spoke with City manager Pep Guardiola alongside presenter Kelly Cates as kick-off approached, they were all taken by surprise, especially Neville.
The City boss was fielding questions from pundits when he was suddenly distracted.
The camera then cuts to a shot of the five of them, with the table already soaked before Cates says “look, look, look” as the sprinkler continues to spray in their direction.
That was Neville’s reaction, though fans cracked up on social media.
As the sprinklers turned away, Richards and Keane remained rooted to the spot, seemingly indifferent despite being shot in the back.
Guardiola and Cates both pulled away from the water.
Neville, on the other hand, moved away from where he was standing, seemingly the most affected by the sprinklers with his whole back covered.
The former Red Devils defender didn’t see the fun side though.
Although normally a rather jolly figure, Neville looked unimpressed as he returned to his seat, gesturing towards what looked like the water works officials.
Things then went from bad to worse for the Manchester United hero, as his side went down 4-0 in the opening 43 minutes of the game.
They ended up losing 6-3 thanks to hat-tricks from Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.
