Gary Friedkin dead at 70: Happy Days star – who played Ewok in Star Wars – dies in Ohio after long battle with COVID-19
Gary Friedkin, who starred in Happy Days and Star Wars, has died aged 70 after a long battle with COVID-19.
The veteran actor died with his family by his side at Hospice House in Youngstown, Ohio due to complications from the novel coronavirus.
He had previously endured a difficult three and a half weeks battling COVID-19 in the medical intensive care unit (ICU) at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, according to his obituary in the Tribute Chronicle published earlier this week.
