Samsung has started rolling out the May 2023 security update to the Galaxy S20 FE in several countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America. The new update is rolling out to the Exynos and Snapdragon versions of the Galaxy S20 FE.

The latest software update for the Exynos version of the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780F) comes with the firmware version G780FXXUBFWD2. Snapdragon LTE version of smartphone (SM-G780G) gets new security update along with firmware release G780GXXU4EWD2. The update is rolling out to both of these smartphones in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.
The international version of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G receives the update with the firmware version G781BXXS5HWD4 in European countries.
Galaxy S20 FE 5G (SM-G781U) carrier-locked version gets update with firmware version G781USQSAHWD4 in the USA. AT&T, Cricket, Dish Wireless, Metro PCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular released the update in the United States. Interestingly, Samsung has not released the update for the unlocked version of the phone.
If you have a Galaxy S20 FE in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by going to Settings » Software update and typing Download and install.
