Samsung started rolling out the May 2021 security update to its high-end smartphones from the last week of April 2021. The update has already been released on the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and Galaxy Fold (4G). Now the company has released the latest security patch for the Galaxy Fold 5G.
The Galaxy Fold 5G (SM-F907B and SM-F907N) has started receiving the May 2021 security update with a new software update. The new update, which has the firmware version F907NKOU3EUD7, was released in South Korea for the carrier and unlocked variants. In UK same update for Galaxy Fold 5G comes with firmware version F907BXXU5EUD7.
According to the Samsung document, the new software update includes fixes from Google for three critical vulnerabilities in the Android code base. It also includes 23 fixes from Samsung for vulnerabilities and security bugs in One UI. New software may also include camera performance improvements, quick sharing improvements, and other bug fixes.
If you are using the Galaxy Fold 5G in South Korea or UK, you can check for the new software update by going to Settings ” Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file for the Galaxy Fold 5G from our firmware database and flash it manually. Other markets may get this update in a few days.
