Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Ltd.601238.SH) has revived its partnership with Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., which will see the state-owned automaker use the tech company’s smart car technologies in vehicles under its Trumpchi brand.
At the Beijing Auto Show on Thursday, Trumpchi announced plans to install Huawei’s new Qiankun intelligent automotive system and digital cockpit, powered by its Harmony operating system, in its sedans, sport utility vehicles ( SUV) and multi-purpose vehicles, with the first model being co-developed under the partnership expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2025.
