WILMINGTON, Del., February 5, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — FTX Trading Ltd. (dba FTX.com) and its affiliated debtors (together, the “FTX Debtors”), today announced that FTX Debtors are sending confidential messages to political figures, political action funds and other recipients of contributions or other payments that have been made by or at the direction of FTX Debtors, Samuel Bankman-Fried or other officers or principals of FTX Debtors (collectively, “FTX Contributors”). These recipients are requested to return these funds to the FTX debtors in February 28, 2023.
The messages follow the December 19, 2022announcement by FTX Debtors that they have arranged for these recipients to voluntarily return the funds by contacting ([email protected]). To the extent such payments are not returned voluntarily, FTX debtors reserve the right to bring actions in bankruptcy court to demand the return of such payments, with interest accrued from the date of introduction. of action. Recipients are cautioned that making a payment or gift to a third party (including a charity) of the amount of any payment received from an FTX Contributor does not preclude FTX Debtors from seeking recovery from the recipient or any subsequent assignee.
