Joey Tribbiani could have been the serial date on friends, but Ross Geller had the most serious relationships among male characters. David Schwimmer portrayed the character for all 10 seasons of the NBC sitcom while Matt LeBlanc played Joey. With Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), Monica Geller (Courteney Cox), Rachel Greene (Jennifer Aniston) and Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow), Ross and Joey were the keys to the long-running comedy series that followed a group of friends facing adulthood in New York. As their lives were documented, so were their romantic relationships.
Seeing as friends Started when the characters were in their twenties, the series featured several milestones including careers, marriages, and the birth of children. The characters’ respective love lives were often at the center of the series, especially the runway pairs like Ross and Rachel or Chandler and Monica. As previously reported, Joey was the most promiscuous of the six central characters in friends. According to the number of sex partners calculated by a super fan (via Reddit), Joey had 51.5 encounters in 10 seasons, while Ross came in second for male characters with 14. Unlike Joey, however, Ross had a background marriage in this relationship record. . In fact, Schwimmer’s character has married three times and endured three different divorces. The three women in these situations were Carol (his first wife and mother of Ross’s son Ben), Emily, and Rachel. Ross, of course, ended up having a child with Rachel, and the two eventually ended up together at the end of friends. But before that, Ross had several other memorable relationships with women.
Ross’s other romantic relationships between friends
In addition to Ross’ weddings, the character had a handful of serious girlfriends over the course of friends. First there was Julie, a college graduate colleague he dated in Season 2. Then came the bald old Bonnie, a young woman named Elizabeth with a disapproving father, a guest at Chandler’s wedding. and Monica named Mona, and Charlie, a paleontologist who had a history with Joey. While some weren’t seen as tantrums in Ross’s eyes, sometimes his feelings for Rachel were what bothered them.
Aside from Ross’s various girlfriends in the decade-long tale featured in friends, the character has also had a handful of romantic encounters. In Season 5, Ross had a brief affair with Chandler’s ex-girlfriend Janice, but she broke up with him for being too whiny. The following season, Ross dated Rachel’s younger sister, Jill, but that relationship ended before it really began. There was also Cheryl, a woman Ross tried to get out of before her unguarded apartment became too much of a distraction. Finally, there was the infamous one-night stand with Chloe during Ross’s ‘break’ with Rachel, plus a story of kissing Chandler’s mother, Nora, and close friend, Phoebe, during of a friends flashback scene. Ross might have been a married man, but he had to date a lot before he and Rachel resolved their feelings.
