The dignity of the right-hand men of the two promoters is also at stake.

Warren told Boxing Social that Matchroom CEO Frank Smith and Warren’s head of events Andy Ayling will have to make some very embarrassing forfeits if one of their teams loses the series by a 5-0 margin.

He said: “If it’s 5-0 then we’ve made a deal that Frank Smith has to come to my office to make tea for a day and he has to do it dressed as a French maid.

“And if it’s the other way around, then Andy Ayling needs to go to Matchroom and dress as a butler for the day.”

This unprecedented tournament will take place under the card of the undisputed light heavyweight clash between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev in Saudi Arabia.

The competition features two mouth-watering heavyweight clashes between Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang as well as Filip Hrgovic and Daniel Dubois.

Craig Richards and Willy Hutchinson also feature in a crossroads fight at light heavyweight before an intriguing fight between Ammo Williams and Hamzah Sheeraz plays out in the ring.

The highest caliber contest on the undercard is a WBA featherweight title fight between new champion Raymond Ford and hungry challenger Nick Ball, which is sure to produce fireworks.

Hearn chose Wilder as captain while Warren chose Sheeraz to lead his team to glory.

Boxing promoter Frank Warren explains why Anthony Joshua’s long-awaited fight against Tyson Fury won’t happen this year

It appears the tournament could be a regular event, with boxing moguls already teasing the idea of a rematch.

“I think this will be the first of many of these meetings,” Warren said at the kickoff news conference Tuesday.

“I’m sure Eddie will want another one for a rematch to get his back after we wipe the floor with them.

“But it’s going to be something special. It’s going to be a fabulous night of boxing on a card that has four belts on the line.

“Two undefeated fighters that we just talked about before (Bivol and Beterbiev) and that.

“If you’re a fight fan, you’re in fight heaven. This is something people will talk about for years to come.”
