The cast of The Nanny has just recreated their pilot episode with a very special virtual reading of Pandemic Table.
Revisiting the beloved sitcom 26 years after its premiere, Fran Drescher and his friends were just as funny.
Drescher, 62, launched the clip saying, “ It’s so great to watch the cast together ” as the cast appeared on screen in a Brady Bunch-style Zoom grid.

“I am so thrilled that we are doing this,” she said.
She then introduced co-star Charles Shaughnessy whom she called her favorite man in the world.
Shaughnessy, who plays Patriarch Maxwell Sheffield, launched a chain of introductions revealing that all of the main actors were ready for a flashback.
Renee Taylor (87-year-old actress who plays Fran’s mother Sylvia) had a memorable self-introduction, telling viewers, “ It’s so great to be here, 26, it’s like yesterday . And the wonderful thing is that I look much younger today.
Daniel Davis (butler / driver Niles), Lauren Lane (CC Babcock, Max’s business partner) and Rachel Chagall (BFF Val de Fran) were also part of the mix.

The first episode follows how the bad luck of his luck, Fran Fine, meets the wealthy Sheffield family.
After her handsome Danny broke up with her and fired her from her bridal shop all of a sudden, Fran finds himself selling door to door makeup.
It was then that she managed to ring the bell at Sheffield’s house, where a confusion enabled her to interview for a nanny position with the family.
Although initially reluctant, Max hired him to take care of his trio of children.

Fran told Variety about the reunion before his release on Monday, explaining, “Laughter is the best medicine!”
“So, in these difficult times, Petah [co-creator, Peter Marc Jacobson] and I thought it wouldn’t be great to put together the original distribution of The Nanny for a virtual reading of the pilot?
“ This is a unique pandemic performance for our fans around the world who are currently stressing in isolation and could use a real rod! It has certainly given a boost to all of us and we hope it will do that for you as well.
