Fox Theater Adds Second Date for Ellen DeGeneres Comedy Show – The Spokesman Review

From staff reports

Minutes after tickets went on sale Friday for comedian Ellen DeGeneres’ June 23 stand-up show, the Fox Theater announced that DeGeneres would perform for a second day.

Only a handful of tickets remain for DeGeneres’ Sunday show in June, but Fox has announced that tickets for a second show on Monday, June 24 are now on sale at foxtheaterspokane.org.

DeGeneres’ career began as a host at a comedy club in her hometown of New Orleans. She went on to win 64 Daytime Emmy Awards for her 19-season daytime variety talk show “Ellen,” including 12 for outstanding entertainment talk show. The show ended in 2021, after months of allegations from staff that there was a toxic work environment on set.

The show’s tagline was: “Be kind to each other.”

In November 2016, DeGeneres received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama. She is also a staunch protector of animals and wildlife.

DeGeneres found success in feature films with her character Dory in the hit animated feature film “Finding Nemo.” The sequel, “Finding Dory,” was released in June 2016 and set the record for the highest-grossing animated debut at the domestic box office.
