Four-time world champion boxer Adrien Broner hopes he’ll be the man to welcome UFC legend Nate Diaz into the squared circle.
Diaz picked up a fourth-round submission victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 last month before announcing his intention to leave the UFC after 15 years with the fighting promotion.

Many believe the first man to beat Conor McGregor inside the Octagon is lined up as a potential opponent for Jake Paul, if he is able to get past former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva on 29 october.
However, Diaz recently took to social media to claim the only man he wants to fight is Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson and suggested he would retire if a fight with the legend and Hollywood actor WWE could not take place.
AB has now presented himself as a potential opponent for Diaz, who may well rethink his retirement promise after being called up by one of boxing’s biggest names.
“Nate Diaz you come to boxing I’ll give you whatever you seek #LETSGETIT,” Broner wrote on Instagram alongside a fake fighter poster.
Broner, who was once named Floyd Mayweather’s heir, hasn’t competed in a high profile fight since losing to Manny Pacquiao in January 2019.
After that loss – the fourth of his career – Broner took more than two years out of the ring before returning in February 2021 with a controversial win over Jovanie Santiago.

After another long stint on the sidelines, the 33-year-old has been booked to face former WBC lightweight champion Omar Figueroa Jr on August 20.
However, a few days before fight night, Broner announced he was stepping down from the fight to focus on his sanity.
The excuse didn’t sit well with his opponent, but Broner did receive support from Ryan Garcia, who also took time off from the sport due to mental health issues last year.
After six weeks, it appears Broner is feeling better and ready to return to the ring against Diaz, who is currently one of the most sought-after free agents in combat sports.
