Bill Bradley certainly knows a thing or two about the transition from sports to politics. The former NBA guard served three terms in the United States Senate.
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Bradley shared his thoughts on Herschel Walker versus Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock.
Even though Georgia’s Senate race ended in a runoff, Bradley doesn’t think Walker was ready to run.
“I’ve seen a lot of people make mistakes,” Bradley said, via Sports Illustrated. “I haven’t seen anyone do as much errors. It seems to me that [Walker] was not ready to stand for election, and certainly not for this office. I don’t know what he has done over the years to try to understand the world or to understand his country or to understand politics or economics.
Bradley added that it doesn’t take long for politicians to be exposed.
“You are easily exposed. If you don’t know what you’re doing, it’s not long [before] everyone knows: Well, It is more in this category.
If Walker wins the election, there will be plenty of people watching his every move. That just comes with the territory of being in the US Senate.
The second round of elections in Georgia is scheduled for December 6.
