Former Biggest Loser star Ajay Rochester, 53, says she’s completely broke and is struggling to return to the United States where she lived for more than a decade before the pandemic.
The once-decorated TV star now works as an Airtasker, doing chores to raise money for a flight back to Los Angeles.
Airtasker is a Sydney-based company, which outsources day-to-day tasks ranging from everything from cleaning, holding reservations, to masonry and driving.

“I’m broke,” Ajay told The Daily Telegraph.
“I’ve lived off my life savings for the past few years literally stuck in Australia and my job is in America.
“You’re made to feel like a loser if you pay check to pay check…it’s expensive and the money is gone.
“There’s bankruptcy, like living in a tent, and there’s bankruptcy in the fact that I paid two rents penniless. But broke is broke.
It comes after Ajay revealed she was following in Rebel Wilson’s footsteps after being inspired by the actress’ ‘year of health’.
Last year, she shared an Instagram post detailing her efforts, along with a post-workout photo of herself.
“Last week I made some key changes so I replaced my white bread with Soy Burgen (sorry Keto is not for me),” she began.

‘There are NO lollipops in my house and yes the sugar withdrawals are real, I replaced with fruit or small protein snacks (eg jerky), introduced TABATA training (not fun), increased my water intake, had Brookfarm gluten free muesli and greek yogurt for breakfast and most important of all – zero alcohol! she continued.
Tabata is a type of HIIT workout that involves eight sets of intense 20-second exercises, followed by 10 seconds of rest.
“I don’t know what I weigh because I don’t have a scale and it’s not important at the moment.” Moving, making healthier choices and feeling better is the key to moving more,” she continued.
“I lost a few days due to back pain which will lessen as I get lighter. Don’t worry about what you can’t do, focus on what you can.
On a mission: Ajay (pictured left in 2007 and right in 2020) announced that she plans to shed the pounds she gained in lockdown following a health scare
Ajay explained that she ended up in the emergency room for an electrocardiogram after her heart started beating causing her blood pressure to rise and she panicked.
‘I’m fine. My EKG was normal, but it was scary enough to wake me up and get serious. So this is MY year of health!’ she wrote.

“I looked at myself and went ‘shit a little bigger than I thought’ and was pretty shocked and a little scared for my health.”
‘It was really like, ‘oh my god, holy shit. What happened?’ I’m like, well, you know, quarantine came and, I don’t know what happened. I lost the plot.
“I was so inspired by Rebel’s weight loss. I was like, all the fat girls around me are losing weight. Mama June (Here Comes Honey Boo Boo) lost weight and now Rebel has lost all her weight.
“I looked at myself and went ‘shit a little bigger than I thought’ and was quite shocked and a bit scared for my health,” she told Daily Mail Australia.
Ajay went on to say that she didn’t want to be the “last fat girl standing”.
“I was literally on Rebel’s Instagram and she was doing like the stairs at the Opera with her sexy trainer. I’m like, well, I’m going to do the stairs,” she laughed.
“I will follow in his footsteps and declare this to be my health year.”
