Mark Kellogg is officially back to work.

West Virginia University women’s basketball received its first transfer commitment of the offseason Tuesday night when former Auburn guard Sydney Shaw committed to joining the Mountaineers in a post on social networks.

Shaw started in 43 games and played in 63 contests in two years at Auburn. During her time with the Tigers, she averaged 7.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

After posting a 24-7 record in the regular season and Big 12 Tournament, WVU entered last month’s NCAA Tournament as a No. 8 seed. The Mountaineers defeated No. 9 Princeton before falling to Caitlin Clark and No. 1 Iowa, who finished the season as national runners-up.

Shaw joins a crowded WVU backcourt headlined by Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year JJ Quinerly and second-team All-Big 12 point guard Jordan Harrison.
