Floyd Mayweather may be looking for a new bodyguard after a longtime member of his security team was brutally knocked unconscious in Japan on Sunday.
The 50-0 former professional boxer headlined an event at Saitama Arena in Japan against 16-3 MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura, who was on the line but ultimately outplayed.

Mayweather was caught out by some big punches late in the second round but quickly made his opponent pay for showing any kind of ambition by cracking him with three straight right hands that brought the fight to an end.
Asakura fell to the ground just before the bell rang to end round two. He struggled to get back to his feet but was unable to do so before referee Kenny Bayless completed his count of ten.
The American referee called off the fight and Mayweather picked up another exhibition victory to set up a November clash with YouTuber Deji, which will be his fifth fight since retiring in 2017.
Prior to that, Jizzy Mack – real name Ray Sadegh – stepped into the ring against Koji ‘Kouzi’ Tanaka in the co-main event.
Jizzy had been called out after pushing Asakura during his confrontation with Mayweather for no apparent reason, which offended Japan.
The 186-pound bodyguard agreed to have his first regulated fight against Kouzi who competes at 135 pounds and has won 31 of his 50 kickboxing bouts.

Despite being outmatched in skill, Jizzy gave a decent account of himself early on and was able to use his height advantage to seemingly drop Kouzi in round two.
However, the referee refused to count him out and the home favorite started to take over as Mayweather’s mate ran out of gas.
In the third and final round, the 33-year-old dropped Jizzy with a huge left hook and right hand combination, but the bodyguard was able to get up and keep fighting.
Kouzi finally ended the fight soon after with another big hook that left his opponent face down, forcing the referee to abandon the fight.
After the fight, Kouzi called out Mayweather but it seems unlikely he will have the chance to face ‘The Best Ever’ who plans to fight KSI’s brother later in 2022 before taking on UFC legend Conor. McGregor in a rematch in 2023.
