The pop singer, who is the lead singer of Florence + The Machine, used her Instagram Stories at the time to update her fans.
She wrote: ‘So sorry to say that after an x-ray I felt like I was dancing on a broken foot last night.
“It’s not in my nature to postpone a show, and certainly not a UK tour, but I’m in pain and as dancers know, dancing over an injury is not a good idea.

“I love you so much and I’m so sorry to everyone who’s disappointed. My heart hurts.
“I can’t wait to be back on my feet and in your arms again.”

The Dance Fever Tour promotes Florence + The Machine’s fifth studio album.
