FKA twigs says they need to reach out to Dua Lipa to complete unfinished, unreleased track
The FKA Twigs expressed that she had to call Dua Lipa to arrange for their duet to end.
The Tears In The Club star – who just released his collaborative mixtape, CAPRISONG – and the Levitating hitmaker teased fans by performing a little snippet of the track at the latter’s Studio 2054 live concert in 2020.
And the 33-year-old star says there’s ‘no explanation’ as to why they failed to complete it and release it to the world.

On how the collaboration came about, twigs told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1: “A friend of a friend sent me a voice note from someone I’ve never even met, like me. harassing for that Dua Lipa bump.
The artist, who was born as Tahliah Barnett’, expressed: I was like, it’s like the icing on the cake. I’ll just put this.
The singer continued to publicly wonder why their collaboration wasn’t over yet.
‘Why isn’t it on the internet? Honestly, there’s literally no reason. I think there’s actually no reason why we haven’t finished it. I don’t even have a reason,” she said.

The performer then clarified that, as she had previously taken care of her last release, she would contact her collaborator to complete their piece.
She remarked, “I’ve been busy making the mixtape, but maybe I’ll call Dua a little.” Maybe it’s something we need – Yeah, we will.
Twigs added: ‘Yes we will. We will… there’s no reason. I have no explanation.

The singer went on to express that she felt a very particular way that she hadn’t finished the song before.
She said: “I feel like I’m in school, you know when your teacher scolds you and you just have no reason why you haven’t done your homework?”
Ahead of the stunning performance – which saw pole dancing twigs – Dua, 26, teased: ‘[Twigs is] working on some new stuff and she reached out to me and said, “Do you want to get in the studio? Should we do something together?” ‘

She went on to say that she and her collaborator were very excited to release their track.
“We made a song that we both really like. Then I asked her if she wanted to be in the live stream, and maybe we could tease the song a bit. So that’s what we’re going to do, she said.
The singer added that she was “really, really, really excited” to be working with her collaborator.
