Fightlore: Joe Riggs vs. Nick Diaz

0

To recap, the first round was as Diaz as a fight can get, as the Stockton native is unorthodox but efficient, boxing rocked Riggs and things looked grim for “Diesel”.

Riggs managed to survive the round, but Diaz knew he was in the head of his opponent and the garbage conversation was fully displayed in the second image. The sleeve was in the air, as was the third. After the fight, Joe Rogan predicted that Diaz had done enough to win, while Eddie Bravo scored the fight for Riggs. The judges agreed with Bravo and Riggs was the winner of the unanimous decision.

Before and after the announcement of the decision, Riggs and Diaz engaged in a very one-sided embrace with little interest on the part of Diaz. Although there was a lot of bad blood before the fight, it turned out that Diaz was not ready to let the hostility decline.

While Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture were fighting their main battle, Diaz and Riggs found themselves together in a local hospital. What followed is sure to live in MMA folklore much longer than their fight inside the Octagon.

In the middle of the hospital, the two men treated the hospital for a rematch when a fight broke out. The hospital gowns, the nurses, the injuries caused by the fight for which they were paid earlier that night were not enough to prevent the two from starting at one end of the hospital and ending up in the other .

The fact that we do not have a video of this fight is one of the most disappointing realities to face, with radio interviews and word of mouth the only stories of this famous hospital fight.

Until now.
