CROCS made a comeback in 2021 after a number of star-studded collaborations with singers like Post Malone and Justin Bieber.
And thanks to their success over the past few years, they have been designated as summer shoes this year.
But not everyone wants to shell out £55 for a pair of fluffy shoes to wear for a season.
Luckily, you don’t have to – TK Maxx has launched the brand new Crocs dupes rig for £9.99.
Fashion fans rave about the bargains and rush to the discount retailer to pick up a pair.
A 21-year-old content creator called Izzy shared her discovery on TikTok, revealing she grabbed two pairs – one in black and one in white.
“Croc and rig girls, run don’t walk to TK Maxx,” she wrote on the video. “Only £9.99 a pair.”
Posting under @ariesb1tch21, she said she found them in the retailer’s store in Southampton and the kicks were from Bershka.
Other women joked that there would be “a war” if they couldn’t find the dupes at their local store.
“If they’re not there by the time I go…i swear to god,” one wrote in the comments.
“I’ve been looking for a pair like this for ages,” said another. “That’s my sign.”
Asked about the quality comparison with genuine Crocs, Izzy explained that there were small differences, but it was worth it.
“I would say the rubber is thinner than the real Crocs, but overall they feel really good,” she said. “Especially for the value for money.”
TK Maxx even took to the comments from the video to say he was “obsessed” with the shoes.
Crocs’ vice president of global trends, design and product told the Vogue style bible that he’s not surprised by the resurgence in popularity of controversial shoe styles.
“We existed on this point of tension between love and hate, and we didn’t shy away from it,” she said. “We looked into it.”
“I’m not surprised that Crocs has been embraced by the fashion industry.
“There’s something about our product – the shape and form – that really lends itself to fashion. And it will only continue. »
And with the gigantic popularity, the dupes have a much more attractive price.
