One of the stars of the upcoming Farmer Wants a Wife season has made an unusual admission about the way he picks his dates.
Sam Messina, 25, said any woman he turns to will need to get her mother’s approval, in an interview with the Daily Telegraph on Sunday.
“Her opinion means a lot to me because mom knows who I am,” said the sheep and crop farmer.

Messina also lamented her unhappiness with dating apps, saying her remote location means a dearth of suitable Tinder matches.
He called the process “slow and painful”.
