2022 Week 12 Fantasy Football Sleepers

🚨 CAUTION 🚨 They are sleepers. They won’t mimic my ranking 100%. It’s upside down hunting and often involves more risk.

STRATEGIST

POSSIBLE START: Geno Smith, SEA –Russell Wilson’s poor showing in Week 11 marked the first time a quarterback didn’t throw for a touchdown or hit 16.7 points against the Raiders. In fact, Wilson shot 26.4 in the first meeting with the Raiders, with Davis Mills and Andy Dalton managing to throw for two touchdowns in their matchups. Smith has 2+ touchdowns in all but two games, including four in a row before the Seahawks bye.

COME BACK

POSSIBLE START: Latavius Murray, DEN –As mentioned in the waivers, that backfield belongs almost entirely to Murray now, and while the offense still can’t get out of its own way, bellcow’s work has value. Sure, there’s a low floor, but the game helps, as the Panthers were responsible for Joe Mixon’s crazy Week 9. They also allowed Darrell Henderson, Tyler Allgeier and Tevin Coleman – yes, you read that right – to 12+ points.

Hail Mary START: Raheem Mostert, MIA — What do these running back scores look like: 10.0, 11.3, 11.8, 15.3, 22.5, 35.0, 35.3? Those seven have come in the last five games against the Texans…only five! So, with Jeff Wilson now leading the Dolphins, Raheem Mostert has enough upside to hit double digits in the same game, just like Dontrell Hilliard and Kenneth Gainwell did.

WIDE RECEIVER

POSSIBLE START: Drake London, ATL – With Kyle Pitts out for the year, Marcus Mariota is expected to rely on London 50% of the time. The problem is, that would still equate to just 11 targets per week on average. Nonetheless, although Commanders played better, they still offer the 10th most favorable matchup in Week 12. Brandin Cooks had 6-3-70-0 last week, and while that’s nothing to get you stumble, it’s still usable if you’re thin at the receiver.

POSSIBLE START: Allen Robinson, LAR – Assuming it’s John Wolford at quarterback, Robinson has the Cooks/London team’s volume game. He also has the best game of the week with the Chiefs forcing opponents to catch up while being vulnerable to the pass. Just like London it’s a risky game but Josh Palmer and Keenan Allen had big games last week while Christian Kirk did the same in Week 10 plus Zay Jones had 10-8-68- 0 in that same match.

Hail Mary START: Demarcus Robinson, BAL – As mentioned in waivers, maybe Robinson is the answer for Ravens receivers? Maybe the Jaguars game is the answer to what hurts Lamar Jackson too? Since Week 6 (five games), the Jaguars have allowed seven double-digit scores, including Michael Pittman and Parris Campbell (same game), Darius Slayton, Jerry Jeudy and another pair of teammates in Marquez-Valdes Scantling and Kadarius Toney. In Robinson’s two games with eight and nine targets, he’s 6 for 64 (9.4 points) and 9 for 128 (17.3 points), respectively, so hopefully Jackson throws a few more.

TIGHT END

Hail Mary START: Foster Moreau, LV – If no one has told you yet to start the close games against the Seahawks, let’s rectify that. Even if you eliminate Taysom Hill’s “tight ends” tally against them, the Seahawks still allow 10.4 FPPG on opposing tight ends with the second most receiving yards awarded to them, plus five touchdowns. With Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow gone from the roster, Moreau has TE1 in the lead if he can repeat his Week 10 performance (3-43-1 looks pretty easy this week).

Have fun with the leaderboards!
Top 10 Worst Thanksgiving Side Dishes

It’s food week again… well, of course, it’s with Thanksgiving here. And, I’ve already ranked the best of Thanksgiving, so now it’s time for the worst!

  1. Ambros Salad “I don’t know what banished unicorn fairy in hell thought of it, but this fruit is nightmare fuel.
  2. Salad, salad – A salad? Who tries to eat healthy on Thanksgiving or who wants to start by wasting time with a salad? Achieve the good stuff!
  3. Premade vegetable tray — The laziest side dish — that’s your lame friend who spent five minutes and dollars making his “contribution to the party”…that he doesn’t even eat while gobbling up all the goodies things — and you have this.
  4. Soup — Like salad, why do we waste time with pre-meal products. Nobody is sick. Keep your food watered away on Thanksgiving!
  5. Coleslaw “I love coleslaw, but it has no place or relevance with Thanksgiving.
  6. Spinach with cream “Is it a dive?” It’s not a side dish, that’s for sure. It’s more like when my dog ate bits of a green toy and threw it up.
  7. Cranberry sauce – This will get the most hate because I know a lot of people who love that red, jelly-like “fruit” glop.

  8. Corn “Corn on the cob?” Sure. But it’s a grilling/cooking side. Chunks of corn, or even worse… in a pudding… it’s disgusting.
  9. Sweet Potato Casserole “Let’s add another type of mashed potato but one that’s almost nauseous in texture and then put marshmallows on it?” It’s not cereal or a campfire. Note: I actually like sliced sweet potatoes with a syrup/brown sugar glaze (no marshmallows though). I guess that’s technically candied yams?
  10. Green bean casserole “How can we make green beans even worse?” Give them soup! A creamy soup – often with mushrooms – and crunchy onions make them better? Okay.
