Before the league gets into the All-Star hiatus, we’ve got one more night of action. Among the games on Thursday’s busy schedule is a clash between the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors, two teams that are not lacking in power. This game is also the Featured Showdown Contest on DraftKings, so let’s discuss some players to consider for your rosters.

SHOWDOWN STRATEGY
Captain’s choice
Stephen Curry ($ 18,000 CP): The Warriors lost a close to the Trail Blazers on Wednesday, but Curry still thrived on DKFP 57.8. He lit the scoreboard with 35 points in what was a favorable game considering the Blazers have the third worst defensive rating in the league. It’ll be a tougher game against the Suns, but with Curry’s 32.5% usage rate, he still has one of the highest floors of any player in this game.
Chris Paul ($ 14,100 CP): Paul had an odd stat line against the Lakers on Tuesday, scoring eight points on just four shooting attempts. He somewhat saved the night with five rebounds and 10 assists, but his lack of involvement in the scoring department was a bit odd. For the season, he’s averaging 12.5 shot attempts per fight, so expect him to be more aggressive against the Warriors, while also contributing plenty of rebounds and assists along the way.
UTIL readings
Draymond Green ($ 9,200): Don’t expect Green to produce a lot in the scores column. In fact, he’s scored under 10 points in 11 of his last 13 games. Yet with his ability to contribute in other areas, he has scored at least 31.8 DKFP nine times during that time. Really, the only problem that comes with its deployment to DFS is that this is the second game in a straight set for the Warriors and Green played 36 minutes on Wednesday. If the Warriors fall big early on, there’s a chance he’ll spend some extra time on the bench in the fourth quarter.
Dario Saric ($ 4,400): While Paul was having a quiet goal night, Saric was cooking against the Lakers. He scored 21 points from 17 shooting attempts, marking the fourth time in his last five games that he has scored at least 13 points. In that five-game streak, he shot 10 for 24 from behind the arc. He’s averaged at least 1.3 three-pointers every season of his career, so his mastery of the back arc should come as no surprise. If it can stay warm, it could offer great value for money.
Kent Bazemore ($ 3,400): Kelly Oubre Jr. ($ 9,000) was unable to play Wednesday due to a wrist injury and his absence saw Bazemore in the top five. He ended up recording 31 minutes in the role, scoring 26 DKFPs along the way. If Oubre remains out, Bazemore could be a key target for a cheap salary.
Molten
Mikal Bridges ($ 7,000): The Suns have given Bridges a significant increase in playing time, which has left him on average nearly five minutes more per game than last season. However, his use rate of 15.5% allowed him to score 28.3 DKFP or less in six of his last eight games. Since his salary is not cheap, it might be better to allocate your funds elsewhere.
The result
It’s a tough place for the Warriors, who have to play the second game in a straight set. They could also be shorthanded if Oubre is left out. The Warriors are also a 7-11 villain on the road this season. Add in the Suns having won eight of their last 10 contests and the Warriors could contemplate another loss on the road.
Final score: Suns 110, Warriors 103
