Facebook has finally listened to you! The best upgrade in years is coming to iPhone and Android – Express

There’s good news for billions of long-suffering Facebook users with the Meta-owned service finally updating its app to make it easier to find the latest posts from friends and family. Anyone who uses the social network regularly knows that Facebook currently decides what to show you in the News Feed via an integrated algorithm. This has been a frustration for years as it can make new posts nearly impossible to find.

Luckily, that’s all about to change with Facebook finally introducing a new “Feed” tab that will display the latest posts in chronological order. According to the company, this is one of the most requested features as it will allow users to never miss their friends’ messages.

“We’re introducing Feeds, a new tab that makes it easy to see the most recent posts from your friends, Pages and groups,” the social network said. “You can curate a favorites list of friends and pages you’re most interested in and filter their content in this new tab.”

The update started rolling out to some users today, though it looks like most won’t see the new tab until next week.

“Starting today, some people will see Streams as a tab in their shortcut bar; on iOS it’s at the bottom of the app, and on Android it’s at the top,” confirmed Facebook. “We expect these updates to roll out globally within the next week.”

It’s worth noting that Facebook will continue to show random posts when launching the app, although that’s changing with the introduction of a new Home section. This is where users will discover new content through recommendations. Facebook says it will display unique personalized content in this window, which should reduce clutter and only offer things it thinks you’ll be interested in.

“From Home, you can create a Reel, see what your connections are sharing on feed and in Stories, and build a community around new and shared interests. Your Home tab is uniquely personalized with our machine-learning ranking system, Facebook explained.

“This system considers thousands of signals to help reduce clutter and rank content in the order we think you’ll find most valuable. We’re investing in AI to better serve recommended content in this experience. classified.”

If you love Facebook, keep an eye out for this update coming to your phone soon.
