Conor McGregor and Fabricio Werdum had a furious exchange on Twitter while discussing performance-enhancing drugs.
“ The Notorious ” is technically still retired, but it looks like even the former UFC heavyweight champion isn’t immune to his wrath.

Earlier this week, McGregor expressed his disbelief on social media that Bellator had yet to adopt a strict drug testing policy protocol like the UFC’s agreement with the State Anti-Doping Agency. -United.
The Irishman was apparently upset by the photo of compatriot Sinead Kavanagh highlighting the lack of testing at the Bellator.
“It is high time that the promotion adopted a reputable control body in order to protect its clean athletes!” McGregor said in defense of his Straight Blast Gym teammate.
Although it took more than 48 hours to decide to respond, Werdum finally took his chance to express his outrage at the Irishman.
McGregor quickly retaliated against Bellator’s next potential signing, saying he didn’t refer to Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino, who is also in the management of Paradigm Sports – just like Cyborg.
The Brazilian has been suspended for two years after failing an out-of-competition test for trenbolone, an anabolic steroid. He has publicly stated that USADA asked him to “snitch,” but he never would, only to have USADA ultimately reduce his sentence based on the information provided.
Werdum has turned down the opportunity to re-sign with the UFC, despite Alexander Gustafsson’s loss to Fight Island this summer, suggesting he would sign with Bellator.
However, the 43-year-old appears to have misunderstood his information as Kavanagh and Cyborg have never really gotten into a professional fight.
It should be noted that the Brazilian is led by Ali Abdelaziz, who also looks after Khabib Nurmagomedov, and has an issue with McGregor after allegations of links to terrorism and his son before UFC 229.
Abdelaziz is known to control the Twitter accounts of his fighters, so it’s not clear if it was former UFC Champion Werdum arguing with McGregor in the early hours of Saturday morning.
