Self-proclaimed divorce diva Ayesha Vardag has given one of her attorneys the most famous intern assignment RollOnFriday has ever encountered.
Many attorneys can cite the time they were told to pick up their supervisor’s smelly kit from the gym or do homework for a partner’s child. But less can be said that they had to steal a dress at Elton John’s party in the south of France.
It was the after-school run given to a Vardags intern when its CEO needed the right look for an event with the superstar songmaker.
“It was in the summer of 2019, long before Covid,” Vardag confirmed to RollOnFriday.
“I made an open offer to interns to see if anyone wanted to spend a day out of the office to bring me my dress on the French Riviera where I was attending Elton John’s party, an event of important networking “.
“I accepted the first of many enthusiastic offers,” she said.
The intern had to fly to France and return during the day, but she was not bothered with a croissant in the departure lounge. “I gave the intern a glamorous lunch and some time at the beach, which she said was a fantastic way to break up the week,” Vardag told RollOnFriday.
“We all look with nostalgia for the golden days when this sort of thing was happening,” she added.
