Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has been ‘charged with seven driving offenses’ and is at risk of having his Porsche seized.
The Denmark international, 33, was ordered to appear in Copenhagen city court on April 27 over the charges.
Danish website Avisen.dk reports that Bendtner faces five counts of driving without a valid license and two counts of speeding.
The Daily Mail adds that he was charged with speeding on the Danish Elsinore motorway after being clocked at a speed of 157 km / h with the speed limit being 110.
Prosecutors have requested the seizure of his Porsche Taycan Turbo S, worth an estimated two million crowns (£ 176,000).
It is said that the court “ doesn’t expect much resistance ” when Bendtner shows up for his hearing.
However, Danish website Bt.dk reports that Bendtner’s lawyer said his client “drives with a valid UK driving license”.
The incident comes weeks after Bendtner split from his three-year-old model girlfriend, Philine Roepstorff.
Bendtner is best known for his time with the Gunners, where he spent nine years.
In 2009, a then 21-year-old Bendtner crashed his Aston Martin, which was worth £ 120,000. He walked away with minor injuries, but his father later said the accident left him ‘very shaken’.
He also spent time on loan at Sunderland and Birmingham, while spending a brief stint in Nottingham Forest.
Bendtner is currently plying his trade for fourth-tier Danish club Tarnby FF, for which he signed in August 2020.
