The two sides enter the weekend at opposite ends of the table, with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side five points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand over second-placed Manchester City.
The Gunners are looking to win what would be their first league title since 2004.
Despite now being out of both domestic cups following last week’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup, the north London side have lost just one league game all season and won 16 of their 19 matches.
Their only loss came in early September, meaning the Gunners are currently unbeaten for 13 league games before their trip to Goodison Park.
Ex-Burnley Sean Dyche was named Everton’s new boss on Monday after Frank Lampard was sacked a fortnight ago after being in charge for just under a year.
The Toffees are in 19th place in the league, just above Southampton on goal difference, and have lost eight of their last nine matches in all competitions, winning just three league games all season.
Dyche spent just under 10 years in charge of Burnley, establishing them as a tough Premier League side to beat and even managed to secure a seventh-place finish for them in 2018, delivering European football for the first time since the 1960s.
Everton have won three of the last four meetings between the sides, although the last game ended in a 5-1 victory for Arsenal on the final day of last season.
The Gunners went four games without a win at Goodison Park, a place Arteta called home as a player, and nothing separated the Spaniard and Dyche when they clashed on the touchline. Each manager has one win each after five matches.
