Everton defender Mason Holgate has written a new long-term contract at Goodison Park.
The English central defender was a dominant presence behind the Toffees under Carlo Ancelotti and his new agreement is a reward for his remarkable efforts.
Holgate made his way into the first team after starting the season behind Yerry Mina and Michael Keane.
The 23-year-old has started all Everton games except one under Ancelotti, and also calls on his versatility as he can play in the central midfield as well as the right-back.
He has now gotten a new deal that keeps him at Goodison Park until 2025.
Holgate said on the club’s official website, “This is my fifth year at Everton and my development as a person and player during this period has been tremendous.
“The direction the club is taking is an excellent club and I am really excited about it.
“We want to take the next step and push for bigger and better things.
“I want to win things – and earn silverware, that’s where I see us.
“It’s really a positive time to be here and I can’t wait to see how far we can go.”
