European stocks ended higher on Monday, with the Stoxx Europe 600 SXXP index,
rising 0.77% to 390.83.
The German DAX DAX,
rose 0.79% to 12,209.48, the French CAC 40 PX1 index,
gained 0.55% to 5,794.15 and the FTSE 100 UKX index,
added 0.22% to 6,908.76.
Among the constituents of Stoxx Europe 600, the oil extraction company Orron Energy AB ORRON,
saw the biggest increase on Monday, with shares jumping 12.3%.
Shares of the fishing company SalMar ASA SALM,
and industrial real estate company/alstria office REIT-AG AOX,
added 9.6% and 8.8%, respectively.
Bakkafrost P/F BAKKA,
a fishing company, and the steel company Tenaris SA TEN,
completed the five largest increases, with their shares gaining 8.6% and 6.9% respectively.
Shares of tourism company Carnival PLC CCL,
saw the biggest drop of any constituent of the Stoxx Europe 600, with shares falling 7.4% on Monday.
Shares of emerging technology company Just Eat Takeaway.com NV TKWY,
and precision products company ABB Ltd. ABBN,
fell 5.7% and 5.6%, respectively.
Orpea SA ORP,
a healthcare delivery company and passenger airline Wizz Air Holdings PLC WIZZ,
completed the five largest declines, as their shares weakened 5.0% and 3.7%, respectively.
The GBPUSD pound,
was up 0.96% against the dollar and the euro EURUSD,
increased by 0.11%. Brent Crude United States: BRN00
rose 3.71% to $88.30.
The yield of the TMBMKGB-10Y 10-year gilt,
rose 4.70 basis points to 3.954%, and the 10-year German Bund yield TMBMKDE-10Y,
rose 0.094 basis points to 1.91%.
