Haaland’s quadruple goal glut saw him record the 21st hat-trick of his career and the sixth since arriving in the Premier League almost two years ago.

Those hat-tricks allowed the City star to surpass a trio of Manchester United legends – Ruud van Nistelrooy, Robin van Persie and Dimitar Berbatov – in the Premier League record books.

Two of Haaland’s efforts came from the penalty spot, with the other two coming from open play.

These efforts mean Haaland now has 25 Premier League goals this season, as well as 36 in all competitions.

While this is a hugely impressive total, it is still far from last season’s staggering tally of 52 goals in all competitions.

His efforts brought Man City to within one point of Arsenal at the top of the table following their 3-0 victory over Bournemouth.

However, Pep Guardiola’s side still have a game in hand, meaning they hold the cards in the Premier League title race.

Next up for Man City are trips to face Fulham and Tottenham, before facing West Ham at home on the final day of the season.
