Yield spread between Sensex earnings and US 10-year G-Sec narrowest in 12 years

At its Friday close, the Sensex had an earnings yield of 4.5% against a 10-year US government bond yield of around 3.69%.
Recent developments in global stock and bond markets point to significant downside risk for the stock market. The US stock benchmark Dow Jones Industrial Average is set to give up all of its post-Covid gains and the financial incentive for foreign investors to hold Indian stocks is at its lowest since the 2008 global financial crisis .
