Belisle believes Blakesslee is insecure and unfocused there, even saying his enemy’s debut was “pathetic.” During the weigh-ins, Belisle did not hold back his trashy comments, making the match very heated.

Blakesslee won the toss and elected to strike first, with his right hand on three. Blakesslee clubbed during the strike, prompting Belisle to initiate the mental war before his own strike. He let Blakesslee know that it was his turn and that his strike was going to be much more effective.

Belisle went left on three and landed a perfect shot that turned Blakesslee sideways. The body language didn’t look good and Blakesslee didn’t verbally confirm that the strike didn’t hurt him. He recovers, but it’s clear that Belisle’s first strike is the right one.

But Blakesslee bounced back big time in the second round. He landed a superb strike that knocked Belisle to the stage court. Belisle got up before the count of ten and recovered, but boy oh boy was that a great strike from Blakesslee. Belisle’s second strike looked exactly like the first. It was right on the money and put Blakesslee away, but again, he ate it.

With the match likely going to the third round, Blakesslee built on her success in the second round, hitting Belisle with a devastating slap that sent Belisle to the ground. Belisle was unable to get up and it ended in a knockout for Blakesslee. This was a great performance from Blakesslee and showed he was able to step up on short notice and continue to evolve his game. He will show this next step when he competes at Power Slap 6.
