Huawei’s latest EMUI – EMUI 12 has changed the game for global smartphones. How? Let’s find out and examine the prospects.
Launched last year, EMUI 12 comes with a completely new user interface taken from the HarmonyOS 2 operating system. Many of you have wanted to test HarmonyOS since its launch in 2020 in China.
EMUI 12 takes UI elements directly from HarmonyOS. These include a control panel, notification center, large folders, better app icons, smoother actions as well as a new font family.
The new version of EMUI also gives you better management of smart devices with – Device+. The company created EMUI 12 to meet all the expectations that you, as a consumer, had with HarmonyOS.
Even without installing HarmonyOS, EMUI 12 gives you similar user experience in the global market.
In my opinion, the new look is much better than EMUI 11 and there are many aspects you might like about EMUI 12. These new changes were not available in EMUI 11 or above.
For older devices:
Apart from graphical changes, older devices could also install EMUI 12. This does not sum up the statement, let’s dive deeper into it.
EMUI 12 is an upgrade for devices that haven’t even been upgraded to EMUI 11 or EMUI 10.1. These categories are filled with devices: Huawei P30 lite, P40 Lite series and Nova 7 series.
Then models such as Huawei Mate 10 and P20 series also received EMUI 12. The new software completely changed the user experience for corresponding users.
Harmony OS:
Even though HarmonyOS has remained closed for Chinese Huawei devices, the tech maker continues to power new features for global users and EMUI 12 is the best example of this evolution.
Therefore, we can clearly say that EMUI 12 is a game changer. A kind of change that Huawei consumers have been waiting for since the launch of HarmonyOS 2.
