Former Emmerdale actor Danny Miller has opened up about “hit rock bottom” in a candid new interview.
Speaking to the Mancs On The Mic podcast, the 31-year-old said he once felt like ‘It would be easier if he wasn’t here’.
The actor then revealed that while playing Aaron Dingle on the ITV soap his anxiety got so bad he would have to stop filming.

Speaking to hosts brothers Adam, Ryan and Scott Thomas, Danny said: “I’m not going to sit here and lie and say, ‘I wanted to kill myself’, but I certainly thought it would be easier if I was not there .’
The former soap star, who left the show in 2021, went on to describe her on-set panic attacks as “having an out-of-body experience”.
“Suddenly I start to sweat, I almost start to pass out. I had a lot of that at Emmerdale when I have a big stage and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to pass out’.

“They say, ‘Wait,’ and my brain says, ‘Fuck that, fuck that.’ I’m sweating and I’m like ‘Sorry, you’re going to have to cut there, I’m sweating’.
The actor, who co-starred with host Adam on the soap, said he had no idea he was suffering from depression and anxiety until he went to his doctor GP, at which point he just “burst into tears”.
Telling hosts, “I used to think it was an overactive thyroid. That’s why I was checked. But it was anxiety. I just didn’t know how to handle it.

The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here champion said things came to a head six years ago when he was finally prescribed antidepressants, which he took for two years.

Although he admits he hit a rock bottom, Danny says he never “had the balls” to end his life.
He said candidly, “I had nothing to lose and I thought it would be easier if I wasn’t there… so if I got out of the situation. It was the deepest and darkest. I had never thought of that. I will not be able.
This comes after it was believed that Adam was the first celebrity to sign up for the upcoming 20th round of BBCis Strictly Come Dancing.
The 33-year-old will follow in the footsteps of co-star Kelvin Fletcher after the actor won the series, alongside professional Oti Mabuse, 31, in 2019.

According to The Sun, Adam is in the process of working out a deal ahead of the show’s return this fall.
A source told the publication: ‘Adam has what it takes to win and is already practicing his moves. And he has a large female fanbase.
The actor appeared as Adam Barton on the soap opera between 2009 and 2018, sharing scenes with fellow actor Andy Sugden, played by Kelvin.

Kelvin, 38, decided to leave the series in 2016 to pursue his career as a rally driver, followed by Adam two years later.
The former soap opera star took the competition by storm in 2019, although she was replaced at the last minute after Jamie Laing pulled out of the show due to injury.
Adam’s participation in the show comes after Strictly bosses also wanted to sign up his older brother and co-host Ryan, 37, who played Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street for 16 years.
