Emerging Basics ETERNE brand offers affordable, celebrity-worthy personalization for all – The Zoe Report

“It wasn’t a specific moment, but rather the culmination of years of frustration,” Chloe Bartoli, well-established celebrity stylist for names like Selena Gomez, told TZR. Since starting out in the industry at 18, Bartoli has struggled to find well-suited essentials for her clients – “pieces that are the foundation of any outfit and every wardrobe,” as she puts it. The more time passed, the larger the white space. “Eventually I decided the only way to move forward was to create them and design them myself,” she says. Thus, ETERNE was born – an emerging basics brand filled with forward-thinking, confident and meticulously crafted basics. With styles starting at $ 60, the brand is officially making celebrity-worthy tailoring available – and affordable – to everyone.

As expected, the launch in the midst of the pandemic did not come without hiccups. Bartoli and his partner, Adam Bernhard (founder of HauteLook and former president of sales at Joie) originally planned to launch ETERNE in March, before the Coronavirus shook the fashion industry and the world. “We had been working on the line for almost a year by then,” explains Bartoli. As the silver lining of the pandemic, Essentials emerged as a sort of uniform for the new normal, which only reinforced the lightning-quick response when they launched in August. The brand’s early styles included ribbed tank tops, long-sleeved thermal tees, and baby tees – all offered in different cultures, depending on each wearer’s preferred amount of coverage.

ETERNE has been constantly refreshing their site with new looks ever since, the latest of which include bike shorts and bandeau tops. What is shared across the board is that each style has an easy, androgynous aesthetic that aims to empower and embolden its wearer. “This has always been my style,” Bartoli says of the neutral quality of ETERNE pieces. “I often wear men’s clothing because I like the fit better than women. We created the line for everyone, and we see women and men responding to ETERNE.” Due to the overwhelming response from men, many of whom have requested larger sizes in the same silhouettes, Bartoli and Bernhard plan to expand the size offerings in the near future to better accommodate everyone. “We consider the brand to offer excellent fit, comfort and style – and less of a gender issue,” Bartoli says.

For those looking to grab a few pieces for themselves, Bartoli has a few on-the-go style ideas, all of which appeal to her favorites – the cropped ribbed tank top and the long-sleeved boyfriend tee. “I love wearing my ETERNE pieces with either a great pair of vintage Levi’s, western boots and a leather jacket – or with a pantsuit and heels.

That said, keep browsing the new silhouettes:
